We are tucked away on S. K. Deb Road, specifically in Block B, Flat 5. It’s one of those parts of Kolkata that feels very lived-in. The building itself is older, and you have to go up the stairs to find us. It’s not like those big glass offices you see in the newer parts of the city. Here, it’s mostly just us in a room that looks a lot like a regular apartment. We’ve got our computers set up on some sturdy tables we bought a few years back. The windows look out over the street, so we see the rickshaws and the daily commute happening right below us. It gets quite humid in the summer, and the ceiling fans are always humming in the background. We don't have a big corporate lobby. When you come in, you’re basically right in the middle of where we work. There are files stacked in the corners and maybe some old boxes waiting to be moved. We usually take turns making tea or someone goes down to the local shop to get snacks for the office. It’s a simple setup. We like it because it’s quiet enough to get things done but still feels connected to the neighborhood. The flat is a bit small, but we make it work by keeping things organized in our own way. It’s just a regular workplace for us where we deal with whatever comes our way each morning.
