We are located on Binodini Avenue in Helabattala, which is a lively part of Kolkata. Leaap International has been operating from this spot for a long time now. The office is in a building that’s seen a lot of years, just like the streets around it. We do international trade and logistics, which means our day is filled with a lot of coordination and talking to different people. There’s always a bit of a buzz in the air here, with people coming and going. We don't have a sleek, modern office with glass walls or high-tech gadgets everywhere. Ours is more about wooden desks and plenty of cupboards for all the records we have to keep for the authorities. It can get a bit humid in West Bengal, so the fans are always going full speed to keep us from melting. We talk to people from all over, but we still feel very much like a local Kolkata business at heart. Sometimes the traffic on the avenue is so bad that even the delivery bikes get stuck for an hour, and we just have to be patient. We aren't fancy, and we don't pretend to be. We just try to make sure the containers and the cargo get to where they need to go without too much trouble. It’s a lot of hard work and staying on top of the details, but we like the work. It keeps us moving.
