L M Das & Sons

Our shop, L M Das & Sons, is located at Plot-4 in Block-H. We are right near the State Bank of India in New Alipore, which makes it easy for folks to find us. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads. We have been working out of this spot for a long time. My father started things, and now we just carry it on. The building is simple. Inside, there’s a lot of stock piled up on shelves. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but we know where everything is. People stop by to ask questions or pick things up throughout the day. We usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The neighbors are mostly other small shops and some residential houses. New Alipore is a nice area, quite green in some parts. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here by the bank. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we keep some candles and a torch handy. It’s just the way things go. We spend most of our time talking to customers or checking the inventory. It’s a family-run kind of place. There is always a pot of tea going in the back. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us sitting near the entrance watching the street. It’s a slow pace of life here, but we like it that way.
