L. K. Builders

L. K. Builders is run out of Bhowmik House at 24/42-A, Jessore Road. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something going on right outside our door. We do local construction and repair work for people in the neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate operation. Usually, the office is just me and my brother and a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting. We have a big table where we look at drawings and try to figure out why a wall is leaking or how to add a new room. There’s always a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. We don't have a marketing department or any fancy brochures. Our office is mostly just a place to store tools and keep our folders. We spend most of the day out at different sites, getting our hands dirty and making sure the bricks are level. Sometimes the materials don't show up on time and it throws everything off, which is frustrating. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. People just call us on our mobiles when they need something built. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do the job as best as we can. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet all day.
