L & T Ltd.

We are based out of the Kolkata Engineering Centre, which is inside Godrej Waterside. Specifically, L & T Ltd. is up on the 12th Floor of Tower-2. Being in Sector- 5 of Salt City means there are a lot of office buildings around us. It is a very busy part of Kolkata. From the 12th Floor, you can see quite a bit of the surrounding area, which is nice when you need a break from looking at the computer screen. The building itself is quite large and there are always people coming and going in the lobby. We share the elevators with a lot of other companies, so there is usually a wait during lunch time or at the end of the day. Our workspace is pretty standard. We have our desks, some filing cabinets, and a small area where we keep the water cooler. It is a professional place, but we try to keep things relaxed among the staff. We deal with engineering stuff, so there are always blueprints and technical drawings lying around the desks. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so a few of us keep sweaters at our desks even in the middle of the summer. It’s just the way these big towers are. Salt City is always changing, with new shops opening up downstairs. We have our favorite spots for a quick bite. It is a good place to be.
