L & T Limited

Working at the L & T Limited construction division means we spend a lot of time up on the 12th floor of the Kolkata Engineering Centre. We are located in Tower-2 at Godrej Waterside, which is right in the heart of Sector-5 in Salt City. It’s a big building, and there are always lots of people coming and going from different companies. From our windows, you can see a lot of the new construction happening across Salt Lake. Most of our day is spent looking at blueprints, talking to contractors on the site, and handling the technical side of things. It’s a very busy office environment. We have rows of desks and people are always on their laptops or having quick meetings in the corners. The elevators can take forever in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to their floor. We usually grab lunch at one of the stalls nearby or just eat at our desks if there’s a deadline. It’s a lot of paperwork and digital files to keep track of the different projects we have going on. The air conditioning is always on, and it’s a big change from the humidity outside. We just focus on getting the engineering details right and making sure the construction schedules are followed. It’s a professional space but it feels like a second home because of how much time we spend here together.
