Our office is over on Beckbagan Row, right near the Top of Saika Hotel. Being on the first floor of number 36 puts us in a good spot in the Circus Avenue area. It’s a pretty busy part of the city, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been here for a while and the office has that slightly worn-in look that comes from years of actual work. There are files stacked on top of cabinets and wires running along the baseboards because we never got around to hiding them properly. We have a few desks pushed together in the middle of the room where we do most of the talking and thinking. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or modern art on the walls. Mostly, we just have some old calendars and maybe a few photos pinned up. The tea stall downstairs is where we get our morning start, and we usually bring the cups back up with us to start the day. There’s a constant hum from the computers and the sound of the ceiling fans that never seem to stop spinning. Sometimes the lift in the building is out of order, so we get our exercise on the stairs. It’s just a straightforward place where we show up every morning and do what needs to be done. We like it this way because it’s comfortable and familiar for us and the small team we have here.
