Kharikatia Tea & Industries Ltd.

Our office is in S301 at Ideal Plaza, which is right on Sarat Bose Road. It’s a busy part of town, and being in a building like Ideal Plaza means we see a lot of people coming and going all day. Kharikatia Tea & Industries Ltd. is mostly about the tea, so if you walk into our space, you’ll probably notice the smell of different blends almost immediately. We have samples sitting on various tables and boxes waiting to be checked. It’s not a huge office, just a practical space where we can keep track of the estates and the distribution side of things. The desks are usually covered in ledger books and small tins of tea leaves. We’ve got a small team here, and most of us have been working with tea for a long time, so we don't need much instruction on what to do. Sometimes the rain makes the windows rattle in their frames, but it’s a nice sound to work to. The afternoons usually involve a lot of tasting and paperwork. It’s a bit old-fashioned in some ways—we still like using paper for a lot of our notes. We aren't trying to be some big, flashy corporation with a modern lounge. We just have our desks, our tea, and our daily list of things to get through. It’s quiet enough in the office despite being on a main road, and we’ve made the space our own with a bit of tea-related clutter.
