Ganesh Chandra Avenue is a place where there is always something happening. We are located at Plot No. 7, right in the middle of all that activity. Kettela Tea Co. Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. The building has that old city feel to it, with high ceilings and a bit of a draft in the winter. We spend our days surrounded by tea samples and big ledgers. Because we are a private limited company, people expect a certain level of professionalism, but we are still just a small group of people who know a lot about tea. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. We just get the tea from the gardens and figure out where it needs to go next. Sometimes the street outside is so loud we can barely hear ourselves talk, but that’s just part of being on Ganesh Chandra Avenue. We have a lot of tea stored here, and the smell is very strong when you first walk in through the door at Plot 7. It’s a mix of different types, all waiting to be shipped out. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just come in, check the quality, and make sure the deliveries are on time. It’s a practical business that keeps us on our feet all day.
