Karmick

Karmick is out here in a place called Fatehpur. It is a small village and the post office is also called Fatehpur. To get to us, you usually have to go via Majdia. We are in the Nadia district, which is a bit of a distance from the big city life. Life here is much slower and quieter than what you find in places like Kolkata. Our address is basically just the village name and the post office because everyone knows everyone else around here anyway. We do our work from this quiet corner of the district. There is a lot of greenery and open space right outside the door. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power goes out during the rains, but we manage to get things done. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls or elevators. It's more like a regular house where we set up our computers and equipment. The road through Majdia is what connects us to the rest of the world. People in the village know us as the Karmick folks. We don't spend money on big signs or advertisements. Word of mouth is how things work in a place like Fatehpur. We just focus on the tasks we have in front of us each morning. It’s a simple setup in a simple place, and we like it that way. Being in a rural part of Nadia has its own challenges, but it's home.
