Kali Ganga Stores

Kali Ganga Stores is situated on Jheel Road in the Cossipore section of Kolkata. Unlike the main B T Road, Jheel Road has its own pace. It is still busy, but it feels a bit more like a neighborhood street. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is a familiar sight for everyone who lives nearby. We stock the usual things people need for their homes. The morning time is always the busiest when people are getting their supplies for the day. We have a few benches nearby where people sometimes sit and talk. Kolkata summers are tough, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible with the overhead fan. It is an old-fashioned kind of place. We do not use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. We know the families around here and have seen their children grow up. It is a nice feeling to be part of the community like that. Jheel Road is where we belong, and we just keep the store running day after day, serving whoever walks through the door. It is not always easy with the humidity and the rainy season, but we manage. We are just a local shop doing our bit in Cossipore.
