Up on the 3rd floor of the Jamuna Bldg at 86 Golaghata Road, you’ll find us at Jss It Solutions P Ltd. Kolkata is always humming with noise, and it definitely reaches us up here. We’ve got a view of the street, which is good for people-watching when we need a break from the screens. The office is a bit cramped because of all the servers and cables running everywhere. We do IT work, mostly fixing things and making sure systems stay up. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us employed. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs. It’s good exercise, I guess. We don't have any polished corporate brochures. Most of our work comes from people who know what we do. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the latest software updates. The Jamuna Bldg has a lot of other offices too, so there’s always people coming and going. We keep our space simple. Just some sturdy tables and reliable computers. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just want to get the job done and deal with the Kolkata humidity. It’s a plain, honest workspace where we handle whatever IT problems come through the door. Some days are long, but we just keep at it until the lists are finished. That's just how we operate in this building.
