Jaltarang Marketing is tucked away in Room 501 of Mukti Chamber, which is at 4 Clive Row. If you have ever been to this part of Kolkata, you know it is old and very crowded. The streets are narrow and full of history and people rushing everywhere. Our office is up on the fifth floor. Sometimes the lift works and sometimes you have to take the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. It is a busy place to work. We are an LLP, and we spend our days dealing with various marketing projects. The desks are usually covered in files and empty tea cups because we stay pretty busy. We don't have a polished corporate look. It is more of a practical, lived-in space. You can hear the sounds of the city from the window, and it never really gets quiet. We like the energy of Clive Row though. It keeps us moving. We don't have any big speeches about our goals or anything like that. We just focus on the work that is right in front of us. Most of us are local Kolkata people who are used to the heat and the dust. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about normal stuff, not just work. It is a decent way to earn a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our marketing work and keep things going. It is a bit messy but we like it.
