Jalinga Tea Co (I) Pvt. Ltd

Our office is in Crescent Tower on AJC Bose Road in Kolkata. It’s a tall building in a very busy part of the city. Downstairs there is always traffic and people rushing around, but up here in room 229, it’s a bit quieter. Jalinga Tea Co (I) Pvt. Ltd is where we handle all the business side of the tea estates we work with. It’s a lot of phone calls to the gardens and checking on shipments. We have desks covered in papers and samples of tea in small tins for testing. It’s a different world from the green fields where the tea actually grows. In Kolkata, the humidity is often high and the ceiling fans are always spinning to keep the air moving. We’ve been in this building for quite some time. It’s a professional environment but it’s still got that old-school office feel. We don't have a lot of modern decor or fancy furniture. It’s mostly just shelves and filing cabinets. Our staff has been with us for many years, so we all know the routine. We spend our days coordinating between the buyers and the estates. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure everything gets where it needs to go on time. Sometimes the lifts are slow or the city is blocked by a parade, but we just keep working through it. It’s just our daily life here, and we don't think about it too much beyond the next task. That is pretty much how things go for us.
