The shop is right on Sadhu Tara Charan Road. If you walk in, you’ll see a bunch of monitors and keyboards piled up. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. We spend most of our time opening up laptops and blowing the dust out of them. People bring in things that won't turn on or have cracked screens. It’s a small place, so if more than three people come in at once, it feels full. We do a lot of software stuff too, like fixing viruses that people accidentally download. The floor is usually covered in those tiny screws that always seem to go missing. We’ve got a soldering iron that stays hot most of the day. It’s just us here, working through the pile of repairs. Sometimes a job takes ten minutes, sometimes it takes three days if we have to wait for a part to arrive in the mail. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. You just come to the counter and tell us what's wrong with your machine. Sadhu Tara Charan Road is always noisy with traffic, but we get used to it. It’s steady work and we enjoy seeing a computer actually work again after it was supposed to be dead. Just a local shop doing what we can for the neighborhood. There is usually some music playing on an old pair of speakers while we work during the rainy afternoons.
