Itc Indivision Limited is based in Virginia House, which is a very famous building at 37 Jawaharlal Nehru Road. If you live in Kolkata, you’ve probably walked past it a hundred times. It’s a grand old building with a lot of history inside its walls. We have been here for a long time. Even though the building looks very formal from the outside, inside it’s just a place where we all come to do our jobs every day. It can feel a bit maze-like with all the corridors and different offices. We don't really go for the high-pressure corporate talk. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Jawaharlal Nehru Road is always packed with people, buses, and yellow taxis, so getting into the office in the morning can be a bit of a struggle. Once you’re inside, though, it’s a bit quieter. We deal with various divisions and projects that keep us moving. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy presentations. We just want the work to be solid. The office has a certain smell to it—old paper and wood—that you only get in these classic Kolkata buildings. We take our lunch breaks nearby when we can, though sometimes we just eat at our desks if we are swamped. It’s a busy life, but being in such a central part of the city makes you feel like you’re in the heart of everything.
