Ideal Event Management

You can find us at 32 K.N.Banerjee Road, which is where we run Ideal Event Management. The office is usually a bit of a mess with samples of fabric, rolls of ribbon, and stacks of plastic chairs piled up in the corners. Planning events sounds like it might be glamorous, but mostly it’s just us sitting around a table with a lot of lists and trying to figure out how to make things fit in a budget. We spend a lot of time arguing about where to put the lights or which vendor is going to actually show up on time. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. The building we are in is older, and sometimes the stairs feel like a workout every time we have to carry something up. We don’t have a big staff, just a handful of us who know how to get things done. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for a long time, so we know the local shops and where to get the best snacks for our breaks. We don't have a fancy website with stock photos; we just show people pictures on our phones of stuff we’ve actually worked on. It’s a practical way of doing things. Sometimes a plan falls apart and we have to scramble to fix it at the last minute, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do our work on K.N.Banerjee Road for the people who need us.
