Ibm India Pvt Ltd is located in the DLF IT Park in New Town, Rajarhat. This is over in the 24 Parganas North area, 700156. Even though it’s a big IT park, we try to keep our office feeling human. It’s a large building, and there are many other companies around us, but our floor is pretty straightforward. We don’t have any of those fancy silicon valley decorations. It’s just a place to work. We have our desks, some chairs, and a small area where we can eat our lunch. The commute out to Rajarhat can be long, so we spend a good chunk of our day here. We don’t really do any big promotional stuff. We just get our assignments and work through them. It’s a very quiet and professional atmosphere inside, even if the construction outside is noisy. We have a lot of local folks working here who know the area well. It’s a bit of a contrast from the old city, but we still keep that local feel in how we talk and interact. We don’t use corporate jargon or have big meetings about missions. We just focus on the practical side of things. It’s a decent place to spend the workday and we just do our best. We’ve been set up in this part of New Town for a few years now and it has become our second home.
