H. L. & S. Trading Co.

H. L. & S. Trading Co. is situated at 65, East Ghosh Para Road. We are in the Jagatdal area, which is part of North 24 Parganas. The road outside is often busy with people going to and from the local markets. Our building is an older one, with high ceilings and thick walls that stay cool in the summer. We spend our days managing the inventory and keeping track of deliveries. There is a lot of back and forth with the suppliers. The office has a big window that looks out onto the street, so we see everything that happens in the neighborhood. It’s a tight-knit community here, and everyone knows each other’s business. We have a few old wooden chairs for visitors, though they aren't the most comfortable for long sits. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked in the corners. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just what we need to get the job done and keep the records straight. The paperwork can get a bit overwhelming sometimes, but we stay on top of it. During the festivals, the whole road gets decorated, and it becomes very lively with music and people. We usually close early on those days to go be with our families. It’s a good place to work, even if it gets a bit noisy from the trains passing nearby. We’ve been here a long time.
