Golden Sky Shop

Golden Sky Shop is right here in Santragachi. It’s not a huge place, but we keep it stocked with what people in the neighborhood usually need. My brother and I take turns behind the counter throughout the week. Sometimes it gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work, but mostly it’s just a steady stream of people. We’ve lived in this area our whole lives, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. The shelves are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful not to knock things over if you've got a big bag or an umbrella. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where you can see what you're buying. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the Santragachi bridge traffic, which is frustrating, but we manage. We try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit cluttered sometimes. There's always a box of something being unpacked in the corner. We don't really do big sales or fancy advertising. People just know we're here and they stop by when they run out of stuff. It’s a simple way to make a living. The shop floor is old tile, and the fan makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough. It’s just a regular local shop for regular people. There isn't much else to say about it.
