Cascade Electrical

Cascade Electrical is tucked away at No. 16 S B Banatjee Road. It is a busy little stretch of road, and our shop front is usually lined with rolls of wire and crates of electrical fittings. Inside, the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, packed with everything from simple light switches to heavy-duty circuit breakers. It is a bit of a maze, and if you do not know where things are, you could spend an hour looking for a specific fuse. Luckily, we have been here long enough to know exactly which corner holds what. The floor is concrete and shows the wear and tear of years of dragging heavy boxes around. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and local electricians who come in early in the morning before they start their jobs. There is always a bit of banter going on, usually about the weather or the traffic on the main road. We do not have a fancy display window with bright lights. Most of our stuff is kept in the original brown cardboard boxes. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard over the counter. We are just a local business trying to keep the shelves stocked so when someone’s lights go out, they can find what they need right here. It is simple work, but it keeps the neighborhood running, and that is plenty for us.
