We are over at 6, B T Maharaja Sarani Rd, which is right near the Calcutta GPO. Golchha Pigments Pvt Ltd has been based in this part of town for quite some time now. The area around the GPO is always bustling with people and mail vans coming and going. Our office is a straightforward place where we handle everything related to pigments. It’s one of those classic buildings you see in this part of Calcutta. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It's mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of samples lying around. The GPO clock is a good way to keep track of the time when the day gets away from us. It’s a historic part of the city and we feel like a small part of that history just by being here every day. The street can be very loud, especially in the afternoons, but you get used to the city sounds after a while. We spend our days coordinating between the suppliers and the people who need our pigments. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger entries. We don't really go in for big marketing talk. We just do the work and try to stay organized. Being in such a central location helps with the logistics, even if the traffic is a bit much sometimes. It’s a solid, old-school way of doing business. We just take things one day at a time and move forward.
