Glenburn Tea Direct

Our place is located at 41 Chowringhee Road, which is a pretty well-known stretch of road if you know the city at all. Glenburn Tea Direct has been operating from here for a good bit of time. We focus on tea, obviously, and we try to get it straight to the people who want it. It’s a busy area, lots of traffic and people walking by all the time. The office isn't anything too special, just a place where we sit down to manage the orders and talk to the estates. We get tea coming in from the hills and then we have to figure out the logistics of moving it along. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, honestly. Some days the phones don’t stop ringing, and other days it’s just us packing things up. We don't use any of those big marketing words because we don't see the point. The tea is what it is. We just make sure it gets from the garden to the customer without sitting around for too long. Working on Chowringhee Road means we are right in the middle of everything, which helps with getting things shipped out. We’ve got a small staff here who really know their way around a teapot and a spreadsheet. It’s a lot of work to keep things organized when you’re dealing with something as delicate as tea leaves, but we’ve found a rhythm that works for our small group. We just do the work.
