Gautam Enterprises

Our place is at 40 Strand Road on the ground floor. We have three rooms there, number 84, 85, and 86. They are quite small and filled to the ceiling with our stock. Strand Road is always a mess with traffic and people moving crates around. It’s one of the busiest parts of the city. We have been in these rooms at Gautam Enterprises for many years now. The building is very old and the hallways are narrow. Sometimes it’s hard to even get the big boxes through the door. We don't have any fancy office furniture. We just have a few old desks and some sturdy metal shelves. Most of the day is spent checking the inventory and answering the phone. It’s often very loud outside because of the trucks. We usually keep the fans running all day to deal with the heat. It’s not a glamorous job. We get our hands dirty and there’s always a lot of paperwork to keep track of. We know most of the other people in the building. We all help each other out when someone needs a hand with a heavy delivery. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us on the ground floor. We stay busy from morning till evening and then head home. We often take our breaks on the steps outside.
