Galaxy Infocom

Galaxy Infocom is located at 610/A on Diamond Harbour Road in Behala. Anyone who lives in this part of Kolkata knows that this road is basically the lifeline of the area, even if the traffic is a total headache most of the time. Our office is right there, so we hear the honking and the buses all day long. It’s a simple place where we handle all sorts of info-tech stuff. We aren't a big corporation with fancy lobbies; it’s more of a walk-in kind of shop where things are a bit cluttered but functional. We have desks set up with computers, and there are always wires running across the floor that we have to be careful not to trip over. The staff here are just local people who know their way around a motherboard. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting things that don't want to work. Sometimes it’s frustrating, but it’s what we do for a living. We drink a lot of tea from the stall downstairs to keep us going through the afternoon slump. People from the nearby residential blocks come to us when their home internet or PCs act up. It’s a very local vibe, and we like it that way. We don’t put on any acts for anyone. We just show up, do the work, and try to help out whoever comes through the door with a tech problem. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and part of the Behala community.
