We are based at 43 Lake Avenue, right near the Menoka Cinema in Kalighat. It’s a lively spot to have an office. You can always tell when a popular movie is playing because the crowd outside gets quite big. Futuretech Solutions occupies a space that feels lived-in. It’s not one of those glass-and-steel buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. Instead, it’s got a bit of character to it. We spend a lot of time looking out at the trees along Lake Avenue when we need a break from the screens. The walk from the metro or the bus stop is actually quite nice, especially in the mornings before it gets too hot. Inside the office, things are a bit cluttered. We have cables running here and there, and stacks of papers that we really should sort through one of these days. The air conditioning sometimes makes a funny rattling noise, but we’ve learned to ignore it. Most of our neighbors are either families living in the old apartments or other small businesses like ours. We often grab tea from the stall just around the corner. It’s a very local feel here. We aren't doing anything grand, just showing up at 43 Lake Avenue every day and handling the work as it comes. It’s a steady pace of life in this part of Kalighat, and we’ve grown quite fond of it.
