Flavours

Our place, Flavours, is located at 7/1, Northern Avenue. We are right across the street from the SBI in Pike Para, near the Tala area. It’s a small spot where we cook and serve food to people who live and work around here. We’ve been running this for a couple of years now. It’s not a big restaurant with waiters in uniforms or anything like that. It’s just a simple eatery where you can get a good meal. My wife and I do most of the work, along with a couple of boys who help with the cleaning and serving. We get a lot of people from the bank and the nearby offices during the lunch hour. It can get pretty cramped in here when everyone comes at once, but we try to serve everyone as fast as we can. Our menu is quite small because we want to make sure we can cook everything properly. We usually start the prep work very early in the morning, chopping onions and getting the gravies ready. The noise from the traffic on Northern Avenue is always there, but you get used to it. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything. We just like having our own place and seeing the same faces every day. It’s an honest way to make a living and we are happy to be a part of the Pike Para neighborhood.
