F2f Network Pvt. Ltd. is based right here in Kolkata. We don’t have a massive office building with glass walls, just a functional space where we handle networking and data stuff. It gets humid in the summers, and the fans are always spinning. We’ve been doing this for a bit now, mostly focusing on keeping connections stable for our clients. It’s mostly technical work that doesn't sound very interesting to outsiders. We have a lot of servers humming in the background which makes the room a bit warm. Sometimes we lose track of time when a project is due. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. If the phones ring, one of us picks up. It’s pretty basic. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the city over the years, but our day-to-day stays about the same. We drink a lot of chai and troubleshoot whatever issues pop up on the monitors. Some days are long, especially when there’s a network outage somewhere that needs fixing. We just try to be reliable and do what’s expected of us. It’s a small team, so everyone knows how to do a bit of everything. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the lights on and the data moving. It’s a living, and it keeps us on our toes.
