Exclusive Fashion

Our little shop, Exclusive Fashion, is tucked away at 61c Elliot Road. If you know the Park Street area at all, you know exactly how crowded and loud it gets around here. Finding a place to park a car is a total nightmare, so most of us just walk from the station or take the bus. The building we are in is one of those old ones with high ceilings and a specific smell of old wood and dust. Inside, the space is mostly filled with shelves that are overflowing with different materials and some old wooden chairs that have been around forever. It is definitely not a big polished showroom. It is a working space where we spend most of the day moving boxes around to find a specific roll of cloth. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just have to sit there waiting for the lights to come back on. The window in the back looks out over a tiny alley where the local cats usually hang out near the trash bins. It is noisy because of the traffic on Park Street, but after a few weeks, you just stop noticing the sound of the horns. I usually eat my lunch at the cutting desk while looking over some notes. We do not have a strict routine, and things are a bit chaotic, but that is just how we have always done it here in this part of town.
