Our office is tucked away at 10M Rani Sankari Lane in the Hazra area of Kolkata. If you’ve ever been to Hazra, you know the lanes can be a bit tight and confusing if you aren’t used to them. We are in an old building that has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of tangled wires under the tables. We are an IT company, so most of us spend the whole day staring at screens and typing away. It gets quite humid in Kolkata, so we have fans going all the time. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall at the corner of the lane. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other’s business. We don't have a big corporate cafeteria or anything like that; we just eat our tiffins at our desks or head out to the main road for a quick bite. The internet goes out occasionally when the weather gets bad, which is always a bit of a disaster for us, but we manage to get things back on track. It is a plain, functional workspace where we get our coding and tech work done. Being in the 700026 area means we are close to everything, which is nice for the commute home. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that.
