Our office for Etss Pvt. Ltd. is at 167, Purba Diganta in the Santoshpur area. It is a quiet residential part of the city, which makes for a peaceful working environment. The building is a regular two-story house that we have adapted for our needs. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. If you walk past, you might just think it is someone's home. Inside, we have converted the rooms into workspaces with desks and computers. It is a bit of a maze with all the wires and cables running along the floor. We have a small garden in the front that is mostly just grass and a few pots, but it is nice to look at. We are a small team and we keep things very informal. There are no dress codes here; most of us just wear what is comfortable. We spend our days working on different projects and sometimes we lose track of time. Santoshpur is a nice place because it has a lot of trees and local markets nearby. We usually send someone out to get tea and snacks from the corner shop in the afternoons. It is not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just do our work steadily and try to stay organized. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog barks a lot, but we have gotten used to that. It is just a normal, everyday office where we feel at home while we work on our tasks.
