Engo Tea Co. Ltd.

Our office for Engo Tea Co. Ltd. is right at 135, Biplabi Rashbehari Basu Road. It’s an old part of the city and the building has a lot of history to it. We deal with tea exports and sales, so our days are mostly filled with checking on different batches and talking to suppliers. The road outside is always packed with traffic, which makes the mornings quite loud. Inside, we have a few rooms filled with samples and ledgers. We don't have a big, modern lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where we sit down and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes you can catch the scent of different teas when we’re grading them. We aren’t a huge corporation, just a dedicated group of people who have been in the tea trade for years. We keep things pretty simple. There’s a kettle always on for when we need a break. Most of our furniture is a bit older and the floors are worn from all the people coming in and out. We like being on Biplabi Rashbehari Basu Road because it feels like we’re in the middle of all the action. It’s not a perfect office, maybe a bit dusty with all the tea around, but it’s our home. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure our clients get their orders on time without making a big fuss about it.
