You can find us on the second floor of the Punjab Club Office Complex. The address is 21 Ballygunge Circular Road, right in Room 12. It is a bit of a walk up, but it is quiet once you get there. We spend most of our mornings just getting the beans ready and making sure the water is hot enough. The office complex has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the walls. It is not a shiny new cafe with minimalist furniture. We have some old desks and a lot of paperwork piled up in the corner because we are still a small operation. Kolkata 700019 is a busy area, but our little room stays mostly focused on the smell of roasting coffee. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just how things go around here. We are not trying to be the biggest place in town. We just like the way the steam rises from the cup and the sound of the grinder working. The floor is made of old tiles and they creak a bit when you walk across them. We spend our time checking orders and talking to the people who wander in from the other offices in the building. It is a simple way to spend a day in West Bengal.
