Eastern System & Services

Our office is at No. 4 Mayur Bhanj Road, right in the Kidderpore area. It’s an old part of town, and our building has that classic Khiddirpore feel to it. Eastern System & Services has been operating from here for a good amount of time. Mayur Bhanj Road is usually quite noisy with trucks and buses going past. We have a few rooms filled with equipment and old files. It’s not a modern glass-and-steel office, but it works for us. The walls have a few cracks and the ceiling fans make a bit of a clicking sound. We spend our days mostly handling paperwork and coordinating things over the phone. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we get our morning ginger tea. It’s the highlight of the morning. Most people who work here live nearby, so we feel like a part of the local community. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate meetings. We just sit around the main table and talk about what needs to be done. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the window during monsoon, so we have to move the desks. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s just part of being in an old building. We know all the shopkeepers on the street by name. It’s a straightforward life here. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
