Duars Union Tea Co. Ltd

Our office is over at 3A Ripon Street, up on the 2nd floor. It’s an older building, the kind you see a lot of in this part of the city. Duars Union Tea Co. Ltd has been tucked away here for a good while. We spend our time looking over reports from the tea estates and managing the distribution side of things. It’s fairly quiet up here compared to the street noise outside. We have a few rooms filled with filing cabinets and old wooden desks that have seen better days. There’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. We don’t really do much in the way of big presentations or glossy brochures. We just handle the business as it comes. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much for people, but we don't mind the climb. Dealing with tea from the Duars area means we have a lot of contact with the gardens up north. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails these days, though we still keep a lot of paper records. The light in the office is actually pretty good in the afternoons. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest company around. We just want to make sure the work gets done right and our partners get their shipments. Our staff has been with us for a long time, so we’re more like a family than a group of employees. We don't have a human resources department. We just talk to each other if there’s a problem. It’s a straightforward way to work.
