You can find us over at the Sri Manjari Building on Camac Street. We are up on the 4th floor, specifically at 8/1A Sir William Jones Sarani. Camac Street is always moving, so it’s pretty loud and crowded outside most of the time. Our office is a bit more settled once you get inside and shut the door. We do consulting work here at Drishtycone, but we don’t act like those big firms you see on TV. We are just a small team in a standard office building in the heart of Kolkata. There are a lot of other businesses in this building, so the elevator is always busy in the mornings. We’ve got some desks, a couple of filing cabinets that are getting a bit too full, and a window that looks out over the street below. We spend a lot of time on calls or writing things up for clients. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just try to help people with their questions and get the paperwork right. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the building gets really quiet then. We usually grab rolls from a nearby stall for dinner when that happens. It’s a basic setup, but it’s right where we need to be to get our work done every day. We know the security guards and the lift operators quite well. It feels like a small community inside this big building.
