If you find yourself over in Sinthee near 100 B K C Ghosh Road, you’ll see our shop, Dolphin. We’ve been operating from this spot in Kolkata for a good number of years. It’s a straightforward business. We don't spend much time on decorations or trying to look like those big city chains. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away. They know us and we know them. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a bit of a chat while working. We handle the usual daily tasks that people need. Sometimes the electricity acts up in this part of town, but we manage. The shop is pretty easy to find if you know the landmark. We usually stay open until late evening so workers can stop by on their way home. It’s not a quiet place, there’s always the sound of traffic and people talking outside. We keep our tools clean and our space tidy, even if the building is a bit old. People ask why we named it Dolphin, and honestly, it just sounded okay at the time. There isn't any big story behind it. We just wanted a name that was easy to remember. We’re just regular people trying to earn a living and help the community with what they need. No big promises, just honest work done every single day. It is just what it is.
