Deepshikha Madira Private Limited operates out of 23/1A Ganesh Ghosh Lane in Kolkata. We are in the same building as a few others, so there’s always someone coming or going. Our focus is on the spirits trade. It’s a busy life, mostly involving checking manifests and making sure the bottles are handled carefully. We aren't some high-end boutique. It’s a functional space where work gets done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is a bit old, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. Usually, there is a phone ringing or a driver waiting for paperwork. We’ve been here for a while and the rhythm of the street has become part of our daily lives. Sometimes we get frustrated with the slow pace of the bureaucracy or the local traffic, but that’s just part of being a business in Kolkata. We don’t write big mission statements or use corporate buzzwords. We just try to be reliable. If we say we have something in stock, we make sure it’s there for the person buying it. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it keeps things clear for everyone involved. We are just local people working in the spirits industry, trying to keep things running as smoothly as the city allows us to. It's not always easy, but we are still here.
