De Tech

Our little spot is CD 256 in Salt Lake, Kolkata. If you’ve been around the CD block, you know it’s a fairly organized area compared to the rest of the city. We call ourselves De Tech. We are a small group of people who focus on technical work. It’s not a huge glass building or anything like that. It is a modest setup where we spend a lot of time behind screens or looking at hardware. Kolkata has its own rhythm, and we try to stick to it. We take our breaks at the local tea stalls and talk about the latest tech or just the weather. The office at CD 256 is quiet enough for us to get things done. We don't really do the corporate talk or wear suits to work. Usually, it’s just jeans and shirts and a lot of coffee to keep us going through the afternoon slump. We handle whatever technical issues come our way without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes projects take longer than we hope, and sometimes they go smooth. That is just how it is. We’ve been in Salt Lake for a while, and we like the atmosphere here. Sometimes the power flickers, or the internet acts up, but we just deal with it like everyone else does in Kolkata. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just here to do a decent job for the people who need our help every day.
