Darjeeling-Jalpaiguri Tea Co. Ltd.

We are located over at 17, R.N. Mukherjee Road. Specifically, we are in Kishore Bhavan. Darjeeling-Jalpaiguri Tea Co. Ltd. has been around this area for quite some time. The office isn't anything special, just a place where we handle the paperwork for the tea business. R.N. Mukherjee Road is usually packed with people and traffic, so it can get a bit noisy during the day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at ledgers. Tea is a busy trade, even if we are just in the office part of it here. The building, Kishore Bhavan, has that old feel to it which we kind of like. It’s not one of those new glass towers. There’s a lot of history in these walls, I suppose. We just focus on the day-to-day stuff. Checking shipments, talking to the estates, and making sure the accounts are right. It’s a lot of routine. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we take the stairs. Most of the people working here have been with us for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our jobs at Darjeeling-Jalpaiguri Tea Co. Ltd. and go home to our families. It’s steady work. It's just us at 17, R.N. Mukherjee Road, doing what we know how to do. There is always a pile of papers to get through, but we manage it.
