D N Agrawal & Sons (Assam)

We are located over on St Georges Gate Road in the Hastings area. It’s a very old part of the city, and our building has been standing here for many years. D N Agrawal & Sons has always been about family and keeping things moving. We handle a lot of different goods, mostly stuff coming in and out of the port area since we’re so close to the water. It’s noisy and dusty outside with all the heavy trucks passing by, but that’s just life in this neighborhood. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything to show off. It’s more of a functional space with desks and ledgers and people coming in to check on their orders. We deal with a lot of people from Assam too, which is why that’s part of our name. Dealing with logistics and supplies involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Some days are quite stressful when shipments are late or things get stuck, but we manage to get through it. We aren’t interested in those big corporate ways of doing things with fancy meetings. We prefer talking to people directly. If a customer has a problem, they talk to one of us. It’s simple that way and avoids confusion. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit around us, but our corner of Hastings stays pretty much the same. We just show up every morning and get to work.
