Cyber Works

Our office is at 10a Hemanta Basu Sarani, right in the Esplanade area. If you know the city, you know how hectic Esplanade can be at almost any hour. We are in one of those older buildings that has a lot of character, even if the elevator is a bit temperamental sometimes. Most of us prefer taking the stairs anyway. Inside, it’s a mix of old wooden furniture and newer computer equipment. We have been here at Cyber Works for years, and the walls are covered with bits of paper and notes we’ve stuck up over time. The street noise from Hemanta Basu Sarani carries up to the windows, but after a few weeks, you stop noticing the trams and the buses. We handle a lot of different tech tasks, from software issues to hardware stuff that comes in from local offices. There is always a stack of old hard drives sitting on the side table waiting to be dealt with. We aren't big on decorations, so the place looks exactly like what it is—a working tech office. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window sill during the monsoon, so we have to move the computers away. It's just a regular group of people working in a busy part of town. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some tea bags in the corner.
