Curio Craft

We are located at No. 15/9 & 10 on Chowringhee Road. It is an old building and we have been here for a long time. The street is always busy with traffic and people walking by. Inside, things are a bit quieter but it’s packed with stuff. We have shelves full of different items we've collected over the years. Some are brass, some are wood. It is a bit of a mess sometimes because new things come in before we find space for them. We spend a lot of time cleaning dust off the old pieces. People stop in while they are out in the city. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden. If you are looking for something specific, you might have to wait while we dig it out from the back. Kolkata has changed a lot around us, but this shop stays pretty much the same. We don't use any fancy computers for tracking things, we just remember. The lighting isn't the best in the corners, but that's just how the building is. We drink a lot of tea and talk to whoever wanders in. It's not a high-end gallery, just a place with a lot of old things that have a bit of history to them. Sometimes we find something interesting in a crate we forgot about. That's just part of the day here. We keep the doors open as long as there is light outside.
