Basanti Silpalay

Basanti Silpalay is located on the Ground Floor on Jatragachi Road. We are in the New Town area, very close to the Jatragachi Bridge. New Town is developing fast, but our little corner still feels like a regular neighborhood. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for us to move things in and out. The bridge is a major landmark, so people never really get lost trying to find us. Jatragachi Road can get busy during the commute hours, with lots of bikes and buses. Our space is just a basic workshop. We don't have air conditioning or fancy furniture. It's just a place where we sit and do our work. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor is concrete. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the traffic going over the bridge. Sometimes we stand by the door to catch a breeze. We know the tea seller down the road and the other folks working in New Town. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't a big corporation. We are just a small team in a ground-floor shop. We start work when the sun is up and stay until we are tired. The Jatragachi Bridge area is always changing, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s an honest way to spend the day. If you’re ever near New Town, you’ll probably pass right by us without even realizing it. We just stay here and work.
