Our office is at 18-A Brabourne Road, inside the P.N.B. House on the second floor. Brabourne Road is always loud and full of people and cars, so coming into the office feels a bit quieter, though you can still hear the horns honking all day. We’ve been in the tea trade for a while. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees; we’re just a solid group of people who know tea. We deal with the whole process, from the gardens to the final sale. The office is pretty old-school. We still use a lot of paper and keep physical files for everything in big cabinets. There are tea chests occasionally sitting in the hallway when we’re checking a batch for quality. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, with papers and tea tins everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don’t really do fancy presentations or use big words to describe what we do. We just buy, sell, and manage tea. Most of our clients have been with us for years, so we don't need to do much talking or convincing. We just make sure the quality is what they expect and the price is fair. It’s a lot of routine, checking the market prices and talking to the brokers. It’s just how we earn our living here in the city, doing the same thing every day. We close up around six most evenings and head home after checking the final shipments.
