My shop is over at 85H/9 Chetla Road. It's not a fancy place, just where I fix computers. I’ve been doing this for a while now in New Alipore. People bring in their laptops when they stop turning on or the screen gets cracked. I spend most of my day sitting at the bench with a screwdriver and some spare parts. Sometimes things take longer than I'd like because parts are hard to find, but I try to get them back to you when I can. It gets dusty in here with all the fans running, but that's just how it is. If you're walking down New Alipore Road, you might see the sign. I handle desktops too, even the old ones that people don't want to throw away yet. I don't have a big team or anything, it's usually just me or maybe one other person helping out. We deal with viruses, slow systems, and hardware that just quit. Living and working around Chetla Road means I see a lot of the same faces. It’s a quiet enough spot. I don't spend much on advertising because I'm usually busy enough with the stuff folks drop off. It’s just honest work, fixing things that are broken so people can get back to their emails or whatever they do online. Nothing too complicated about it. I just like seeing a machine work again after it's been dead.
