Cominfo Software Solutions Pvt Ltd is situated at 390 Dakshindari Road, inside Raju Apartments in Kolkata. It’s not your typical high-rise IT park. We operate out of an apartment building, which actually makes it feel a bit more like home. There are about ten of us working here on any given day. The desks are a bit crowded with monitors and cables everywhere. Kolkata can be humid, so we keep the AC running most of the time. We work on software stuff, mostly coding and fixing bugs for our clients. It’s quiet work, mostly just the sound of typing and some talking when we get stuck on a problem. Dakshindari Road is a busy area, but Raju Apartments is tucked away enough that we don't get too much noise. We don't have a big HR department or fancy lunchrooms. We usually just order something from the local shops or bring our own tiffins. We’ve been here for a few years now. The neighbors know we’re the computer people. We don't put out ads or anything. Most of our work comes from people who have heard about us through friends. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy. Sometimes we have to work late when a project deadline is close. That’s just the nature of software. We don't make it sound more important than it is. We just write code and try to make things work at the end of the day.
