You’ll find us at 277 Satyen Roy Road in Kolkata. It’s a busy street and our building is right in the middle of it. Cognizant Technology Services has been operating from this spot for a good while. Kolkata is a city with a lot of character, and our office is no different. It’s not a brand-new glass tower; it’s a solid, older building that fits in with the rest of the neighborhood. We work on various technology services, mostly helping people with their software and data needs. The office is usually humming with the sound of fans and keyboards. We don’t have any of those fancy modern lounges or bean bags. We just have sturdy desks and people who know what they’re doing. Sometimes the humidity makes the office a bit stuffy, but we just get on with it. There’s a guy down the street who sells great chai, and that’s usually where you’ll find us during lunch. We aren’t looking to impress anyone with big words or polished presentations. We’re just a bunch of locals who happen to be good with technology. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the day’s tasks. We’ve grown fond of this area over the years. It’s a bit chaotic outside with all the street noise, but inside we just keep our heads down and work. It is what it is, and we like it just fine this way.
