Our business is based in Chhotobazar in the Nabapally area, which is out in North Parganas near Kolkata. We are located at Plot Number 80, which is Ms. Kanchan Ghosh’s place. It’s a bit of a mix between a home and an office, which is how many small businesses start out around here. The neighborhood is full of houses and small shops, and the 700126 pincode area is quite active. We have our computers set up in a couple of rooms and we spend most of our day there. It’s a bit of a walk from the main transport links, but it’s a nice enough walk through the local streets. We do softech work, so it involves a lot of sitting and thinking. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when there is a festival or a wedding in the neighborhood, but we just put our headphones on. We don't have a big sign or any glossy posters. Most people find us through word of mouth or by looking for the plot number. We drink a lot of tea while we work and sometimes stay late to finish up a job. It’s a very grounded way to work, without any of the pretense of a big downtown office. We just focus on the software and try to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a small, local setup that works well for our team.
