We are over here at 77 5 Raja Rammohan Roy Road in Kolkata, just a regular group of people doing software work. It gets pretty busy in this part of the city, and our office is usually full of the sound of clicking keyboards and people talking over coffee. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most days start with checking emails and trying to figure out why a piece of code isn't doing what it is supposed to do. It is not always exciting, but it is what we do. The neighborhood around us is typical Kolkata, with plenty of noise and life right outside the door. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we sit and get through the projects on our list. Sometimes the internet slows down or the power fluctuates, which is just how things go here. We have a few desks, some old chairs, and a lot of monitors. People come in, do their shift, and then head home through the crowded streets. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just keeping things running for the folks who use our programs. If you walk past the building, you might not even notice us among all the other businesses. It’s a practical setup. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to get home before the traffic gets too bad in the evening.
